ALL ORDERS AND SERVICES will be paused between the 15th June — 25th July as we make some major changes to our workshop space & location. We'll still be receiving parcels and getting back to any questions as soon as possible. Expedited repairs placed before the 10th will be completed by then, unless stated otherwise. Regular queue orders placed after the 1st June will be subject to longer turnaround times than the usual estimate.

Terms & Conditions
We push for a fair and clear set of guidelines with both parties in mind regarding all transactions. If you have any questions, do ask us, and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Diagnostics
1a) The diagnostics fee covers our team's expertise and time spent handling, repairing, and testing your device. Costs are usually proportional to the value of the item, as we take on more risk when working on higher-value devices. This fee is non-refundable.
1b) There is always some risk when handling electronic devices. Many components, such as silicon-based BGA packages, can fail unpredictably, potentially rendering a partially working device non-functional. This occurs in about 1 in every 1,000 devices. The likelihood increases with older devices and components like BGA chips. We will not be held responsible for such failures. However, we take all necessary precautions, including ESD control, calibrated thermal profiles, regularly tested equipment, and comprehensive staff training tailored to each device type.
1c) Turnaround time will be more accurately provided before purchase or once the item has arrived. The estimated time refers to when we begin work on your device. Additional time may be needed for repairs and full testing beyond the initial estimate.
1d) After diagnostics, we will inform you of the issue and, if repairable, the cost of any required parts or services. Upon your confirmation, we will proceed with the repair and keep you updated throughout.
1e) If your device is deemed unrepairable, or you choose not to proceed after diagnostics, our team will offer options for next steps. This typically includes scrapping the device for a quoted cost or having it reassembled and returned.

Repair
2a) Full payment for repairs and any required parts must be confirmed before the device is returned.
2b) Replacement parts may be needed as noted in section 1d, and their cost will be added to the final repair fee.
2c) We always aim to repair every device promptly without compromising on quality.
2d) Devices left unclaimed (no response or invoice payment) for 120 calendar days from the last communication will be considered abandoned. Joshi Repair reserves the right to recycle, dispose of, or resell the item to recover costs. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you beforehand. If you anticipate delays in payment or communication, please notify us in advance so we can make arrangements.
Shipping
3a) We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service when shipping your device. We are not liable for any shipping damage or delays once the item is in transit. This includes delays while the package is with the courier. We document items with photos and videos before return shipping.
3b) Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending items to Joshi Repair.
3c) We will not cover unmentioned fees, such as customs, taxes, or other charges.
3d) Your device will be returned using an insured service. Our default is Royal Mail unless otherwise agreed upon.
3e) International shipping costs may exceed the quoted estimate. We will notify you beforehand if this occurs. Customs delays and other external factors can affect international delivery times.
Warranty
4a) Unless otherwise stated, repairs are covered by a 90-day warranty from the date of shipment back to you. The issue must be related to the original fault for warranty coverage to apply.
4b) If eligible, the service will be performed again at no additional charge. Shipping to us is covered by the customer; we will cover return shipping. Warranty repairs are prioritized in our expedited queue.
4c) If we determine that your device has undergone previous repair attempts, warranty coverage will not apply by default unless explicitly stated. Previous work may compromise solder joints, traces, or components, increasing the risk of future faults. These are addressed to the best of our ability during repair.
4d) If your device is found to have been tampered with or physically mistreated during the warranty period (e.g. use of liquid metal, missing GPU bracket, hardware modifications, significant dents), the warranty will be void.

Purchases & Refunds
5a) After purchasing any product on our site, we will confirm your order and aim to dispatch it within the same working week. Delays may occur during holidays or high-demand periods.
5b) Customers have 14 days from the date of purchase to return an item for any reason, provided it is in the same condition as when received. We may request photos or videos before approving a return to verify its condition. All items are documented during packaging.
5c) Returned items must be in the same condition as when received, without new signs of damage or wear.
5d) Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow several business days for the funds to appear in your account.

Right to Refuse Service
Joshi Repair reserves the right to refuse service at our discretion, particularly in cases of abusive behaviour, unsafe devices, or repeated violations of our policies.

Your data and device information will be handled confidentially. We do not share personal or device data with third parties unless required by law.
