Joshi Repair's legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Information we collect and the specific context in which we collect the information: Joshi Repair needs to perform a contract with you. JoshiRepair follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and are a part of hosting services' analytics. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Our Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regard to the information that they shared and/or collect in JoshiRepair. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

We push for a fair and clear set of guidelines with both parties in mind regarding all transactions. If you have any questions do ask us and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Diagnostics

1a) The diagnostics fee will cover our time spent handling and testing your device. Higher costs here are also proportional to the cost of the item as we take more risk when working on devices of higher value. 

b) There will always be a risk with any electronic device taken in. These products can be unpredictable and fail without warning causing partially working cards to stop working completely. Although this hasn't happened to us yet, it is a possibility, especially on older devices and chips such as BGA silicon chips. We will not be held accountable for such a case.

c) We usually perform diagnostics on your device the same day it arrives with us however this may be extended up to 7 days depending on our backlog at the time.

d) Following our diagnostics process, you are then told of the issue at hand and if repairable, the costs of any parts that may be required. Once confirmed, we will begin the repair whilst keeping you updated along the way.

e) If your device is deemed unrepairable or you'd rather not move on after the diagnostics process, we will have it packaged and sent back to you.​

Repair

2a) Once the repair is complete and full testing has been done, you will be charged a successful repair fee. The device will not be shipped out until this has been confirmed.

b) Replacement parts may be required (1d) and the cost of these will be added to the final successful repair fee. You do not incur this charge if the repair is unsuccessful. 

c) We always strive to have every device repaired as quickly as possible. Most repairs are completed by us in 1-2 days however this may be extended to various factors such as backlog, having to order in parts, fault at hand, and so on. ​

Shipping

3a) We strongly suggest that you use a tracked and insured service when shipping your device. We will not be held liable for any sort of shipping damage once the card is in transit. This is the responsibility of the courier. This includes any delays while the package is still with the courier. 

b) For ALL items sent to us, the customer will cover the shipping both ways. 

c) We will not incur any unmentioned fees. This includes customs fees.

d) Your device will be shipped out using an insured service. Our default is Royal Mail's next-day delivery 1 pm service unless discussed otherwise. ​

Warranty

4a) Unless stated otherwise, repairs are covered under a 60-day warranty following the shipment of your device. The issue MUST be related to the original fault. 

b) If eligible, the service will be performed again at no extra charge. We will cover the shipping costs back to you. 

c) If we find that your device has had a previous repair attempt, the warranty is shortened to the same week your device arrives back to you. This is because other, less qualified technicians may have messed with components in an unsafe way which increases the chances of underlying faults. We have also had cases of electronics having been put in the oven. 

d) If your device has been tampered with physically within our warranty period (4a), e.g. modifications to hardware, cracked screen, or significant dents to the chassis then your warranty with us is void. 

Purchases & Refunds

5a) After purchasing any product on our site, we will confirm your purchase and have it sent out that same working week. 

b) Customers have 14 days from the date of purchase in order to return the item. 

c) The item MUST be in the same condition that they received it in without any new signs of damage. All products are photographed and have a video recorded when packaging.

d) If you have returned your item, a refund will be issued to the original payment method. This may take a few days to show up in your account.
